What is Animal Cruelty?
Animal cruelty is a common problem in today's society, with forms of animal abuse ranging from neglecting an animal, to not providing the essential's required to raise an animal. There are numerous other types, and strains, of animal abuse, including psychological and mental tormenting and physical beatings. Due to the fact that there are so many forms of animal abuse, state and territory animal welfare legislation has not attempted to come up with a specific definition, instead describing is as causing unnecessary or unreasonable harm to an animal.
